Today marks a significant milestone for the APAC climate innovation ecosystem. A new cohort of founders is bringing bold ideas and deep conviction to the region’s urgent challenges.
Powered by Better Earth Ventures, Climate KIC, and dedicated APAC champions, this program nurtures solutions that go beyond just technology. These founders drive transformation in areas such as regenerative agricultural inputs, circular food systems, climate intelligence, and alternative materials derived from agrowaste.
A Diverse and Innovative Cohort
📊 65% of applications came from 🇦🇺 and 🇸🇬. Nearly half of the selected ventures are co-founded by women. Together, they are building the future of sustainable materials, carbon-smart farming, circular supply chains, climate intelligence, and deep tech with human impact.

🧪 Nick Hazell 🇦🇺 Algenie: This venture features a patented low-cost, high-productivity photobioreactor that makes algae production radically cheaper and scalable.
🌾 Deryl Lu & Ankit Gupta 🇮🇩 DayaTani: This tech provides agronomic expertise and integrated support to improve farmer livelihoods and promote sustainable practices for over 3,000 farmers.
🥝 Shelley Houston & Chris Harper 🇳🇿 KiwiLeather Innovations: They are upcycling 100,000 tonnes of NZ kiwifruit waste into plastic-free vegan leather. This luxurious, low-impact material is suitable for fashion, automotive, and furniture industries.
🛰️ Antonio Tinto & Raul A. 🇸🇬 Lambdai Space: This venture offers scalable climate intelligence via satellite data and physics-guided AI. They help farmers, insurers, agri-finance, and governments assess climate risks and enhance resilience.
🌱 Abhi Agarwal & Avika Narula 🇹🇭 Living Roots: They produce high-performance bio-fertilizers that increase yields by 30%. Their solutions rebuild soil carbon and reduce synthetic inputs and emissions by up to 100%, driving regenerative agriculture in Southeast Asia.
🧴 Didi Gan & Dr. Jaslyn Lee 🇸🇬 N&E Innovations Pte Ltd: Their patented ViKANG99 technology turns food waste into antimicrobial coatings, post-harvest washes, and biodegradable packaging. This innovation cuts spoilage, replaces plastics, and extends shelf life by four times.
🐻❄️ Jonathan Harvey & Joe Liqiang Khoo 🇸🇬 Polar Cold: This climate-tech company is modernizing Southeast Asia’s cold chain with data and energy-saving technology.
⚡ Darryl Lyons & Mic Black 🇦🇺 Rainstick: They use electricity to mimic lightning, which helps crops grow bigger, faster, and more sustainably.
🪨 A stealth startup 🇻🇳 is tackling Enhanced Rock Weathering.
